Identity search and high-level risk search for confusingly similar trade marks

As part of the identity search, we offer a trade mark search for identical word marks that have already been applied for, published or registered. The search includes German trade marks, trade marks in the other member states of the European Union, European Union trade marks (trade marks valid for the entire EU) and international trade mark registrations extending to the EU or one of its member states. We also check the German commercial register for registered, identical company trade marks. At the end, you will also receive a high-level risk report, which gives you an overview of identical and similar trade mark applications. However, the report is not analysed in detail by our lawyers. If you want to be on the safe side, book a detailed risk search for confusingly similar trade marks.

Creation of a list of goods and services

We will create a list of goods or services offered under your trade mark that is tailored to your needs.

Registration of your trade mark (either German trade mark or EU trade mark)

We take care of the application process for you at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) up to the dispatch of the application. We check the trade mark for infringements of absolute grounds for refusal and grounds for refusal prior to filing, fill out the necessary forms for you, compile the required documents and file the application. The official fees are not included in the price.

Receiving office (administrative) vis-à-vis the trade mark office

You don't want to deal with correspondence with the trade mark offices in future? No problem, we will be happy to appoint ourselves as your representative for the trade mark at the relevant trade mark office and handle any correspondence that arises.

Maximum number of hours

The maximum time allotment for this consultation is 3 hours. If we need more time for the preparation, we will agree this with you individually. We will then offer you the opportunity to purchase an hourly quota for legal and tax advice at discounted rates.
